LIVE

In 2007, Microsoft will bring the LIVE gaming and entertainment network to Windows users.  What does that mean?  Imagine a world where a single online identity worked on your PC and your XBOX 360.  Where you can see your friends online, send them messages or invitations and even play with them across Windows and XBOX.  That’s what LIVE gaming is all about.

The LIVE gaming and entertainment network that’s been such a huge success on XBOX 360 will make it’s debut on Windows Vista with the introduction of two great games in 2007; Halo 2 for Windows Vista and Shadowrun.

Halo 2 for Windows Vista
For the first time, you’ll be able to earn LIVE achievements in Halo 2 for Windows Vista.  And finding other friends who also have Halo 2 for Windows Vista will be easier than ever with the in-game Friends List.   Use a common gamertag and even send messages or invitations  to your friends playing on XBOX Live.  (note: because Halo 2 for the original XBOX was developed long ago, Halo 2 for Windows Vista doesn’t support cross-platform play.) Enjoy Halo 2 for Windows Vista’s party system where LIVE Gold members can stay and play with their friends from one game to the next.

Shadowrun
Shadowrun™ is an intense FPS experience created for both XBOX 360 and Windows Vista that rewards cleverness and split-second improvisation through a unique combination of modern weapons, ancient magic and advanced technology.  Shadowrun will be the first game that uses LIVE to enable cross-platform gameplay.  Enjoy text or voice messaging or send invitations to your friends playing Shadowrun on the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live, Team up with or against your friends, PC vs. XBOX 360 – for revolutionary multiplayer gaming.
